Your blog on the "Empowerment Experiment" was totally tunneled! You should get the statements of some black people that have to go into white owned establishments where they follow you around as if your going to still from them, or ignore you as if you didn't just enter their store with the intentions of buying something. Next time before you comment about how you were treated, take a look at both sides of the spectrum!

1. Circuity City is not black owned
2. kosher was not the only reason Jews bought from Jews, lets be real.
3. "Going into any stores that hire blacks is risky. No matter how polite you are, you are treated badly. They would rather yack with their "brothers" than actually say hello to a white customer. The rudeness is unreal....and this is a big city. If they want their black only stores and such, Africa is there and they are certainly welcome to immigrate!"
How much more ignorant can you be from that statement? Really? I'm curious.

I loved your comments:
A dog or cat can be the greatest friend a child ever knows. A companion willing to play any and all roles put upon him or her by the little pink playmate and who will be happily willing to go from a wolf to a lion to a pirate in a matter of minutes and willing to walk the plank for a vegetable no child wants to eat. So many children are sadly deprived of the richness today of knowing the joy of a furry companion....bring a dog or cat into your life before you get pregnant and your child will have an inborn immunity to allergies to them......show your child the joy and richness of having a life long companion who will never criticize them and will be there forever.......

Meezermom article Is my breast cancer upsetting you?, definitely hits a raw nerve about women with cancer; despite their illness they (cancer patients) become the care taker of the family, I tell you this because last August 13th, 2007, my family lost our beloved Mum, Leda Sanchez de Parrales, matriarch to Leukemia.
Since then, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember Mum; first as Mum, but then as a woman afflict with leukemia that never stopped caring for my father, and her four boys, and her unborn nephew (Maximus), whom she never had the opportunity to hold in her arms. Meezermom, your article address the plain truth about cancer and their patients; basing it on my experience, cancer patients have a stronger will to "Survive" therefore the become the families "Rock of Gibraltar"; truly amazing role reversal.
Now, I tear up every time I hear of, or meet someone with Cancer because Mum comes immediately to mind and as you mentioned the patient ends up being the care taker. The important factor here is that I am now and will be forever a stronger advocate for Women's Cancer causes but more so to those battling leukemia. Not to make an issue of things but women suffering from breast cancer, "If" discovered at Stage 1; women have a legitimate chance of surviving; sadly though the same cannot be said for leukemia.
So in memory of Mum, Leda Sanchez de Parrales, whom is missed and loved, I dedicate this reply and hope to hear from Meezermom.
